Bean & Paw has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Your progress is saved on your iPhone and we never receive it.

Who we are

Bean & Paw is made by Sirek Apps ("we", "us"), a software studio based in Gdańsk, Poland. We are the data controller for the limited processing described here. You can reach us at contact@sirekapps.com. This policy covers the Bean & Paw iPhone game and this website. Our other apps are covered by the Sirek Apps Privacy Policy.

What we collect

Nothing. We do not run any servers for the game, there is no sign-up, and we do not collect, receive or store personal information about you.

Your game progress (cafés, critters, coins, treats and your settings) is saved locally on your iPhone. We cannot see it. It is part of your normal iPhone backup if you use one. Deleting the app, or choosing "Start over" in the game, removes it from the device.

Maps and search

The map, the place search and the lookup of a place you tap are provided by Apple Maps (MapKit). When you move the map, search for a town or tap a spot, the map area, your search words or the coordinates of the spot you tapped are sent to Apple so it can answer. We do not receive any of this. It is handled under Apple's privacy policy.

The game never asks for your device location and does not read it. You choose places by tapping or searching.

Purchases

The game is free. Optional coin and treat packs are sold through Apple's In-App Purchase. Payment and billing are handled entirely by Apple, and we never see your card or account details. The game keeps a local record of purchase receipts on your device so that a purchase is only credited once. No third-party purchase service is involved.

Notifications

If you allow reminders, notifications are scheduled locally on your iPhone to tell you when a café is about to close or is ready to open. We do not send push notifications from a server and we do not collect a push token. You can turn reminders off in the game or in iOS Settings.

Analytics, advertising and tracking

There is no advertising in the game. We do not use analytics or crash-reporting services, we do not use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA), and we do not track you across other apps or websites. This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics. The little playable café on the home page saves its progress in your browser's local storage on your own device, and nowhere else, so it can remember you when you return. Clearing your browser data removes it.

Sharing your data

We do not sell or share your personal data, because we do not have it. The only data that leaves your device is what Apple handles for maps and purchases, as described above.

Keeping and deleting your data

You are in control. Deleting the app removes the game's data from your iPhone. "Start over" in the game's settings deletes your cafés, critters and progress. If you back up your iPhone, a copy of the game data is inside that backup, which you manage in iOS.

Your rights

If you are in the European Economic Area, the GDPR gives you rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your personal data, and to object to its processing. Because we hold none of your data, there is nothing for us to provide or delete, and you can manage everything on your own device. For anything else, contact contact@sirekapps.com. You also have the right to complain to your local supervisory authority. In Poland that is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO).

Children

The game is suitable for all ages and contains no ads, chat or user-generated content. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Purchases are made through Apple and can be limited with Apple's parental controls and Screen Time.

Changes to this policy

If the game changes in a way that affects your privacy, we will update this policy and the date above before the change ships.
